Arvada is fully within Xcel Energy’s service territory. Net metering credits roll over monthly at the full retail rate (~$0.14–0.15/kWh), and you can choose between continuous rollover or year-end cash-out through Xcel’s Solar Bank program. Systems are capped at 120% of annual usage.
Arvada homeowners benefit from Xcel’s full incentive stack. Net metering credits at retail rate, Solar*Rewards for income-qualified households, and the Renewable Battery Connect program with up to $5,000 in battery rebates. Colorado’s sales and property tax exemptions apply to all solar installations, and the City of Arvada offers additional energy assistance programs.
Standard Xcel interconnection process applies in Arvada. Apollo handles all permitting and interconnection paperwork. Colorado HOA solar protections are fully enforced.
Arvada homeowners are increasingly adding battery storage to protect against Xcel’s extended outage events and capitalize on the $5,000 Renewable Battery Connect rebate. With Xcel rates continuing to rise, battery storage also provides financial benefits through peak-demand shifting.
Apollo has deep roots in the northwest Denver metro and has completed installations throughout Arvada’s diverse housing stock, from Olde Town bungalows to the newer Candelas and Leyden Rock communities.

Colorado law protects your right to install solar. HOAs cannot prohibit solar panels and must respond to applications within 60 days. If they don’t respond, your installation is automatically approved. They can set reasonable aesthetic guidelines but cannot effectively block your project.
Many Arvada homes were built in the 1960s–80s. We assess roof condition, structural capacity, and electrical panel compatibility before designing your system. If your roof or panel needs an upgrade first, we’ll let you know upfront.
The physical installation is typically 1–2 days. The full timeline from signed contract to Permission to Operate from Xcel is usually 8–12 weeks, primarily driven by permitting and Xcel’s interconnection queue.
