The FranklinWH aPower 2 delivers 15 kWh of usable storage and 10 kW of continuous power — enough to keep your entire home running during an outage, including your HVAC system. Apollo Energy is an authorized FranklinWH installer serving Denver, Colorado Springs, and communities across Colorado and Wyoming.
The FranklinWH system stands out for its flexibility and power. Unlike battery systems that only protect critical loads, the aPower 2 is engineered to back up your whole home — air conditioning, heating, kitchen appliances, and more — from a single unit.
The system is built around two components: the aPower 2 battery and the aGate smart energy controller. The aGate manages power flow between your solar panels, the grid, your battery, and even a backup generator — giving you intelligent energy management that adapts in real time.
Works with any solar inverter. Because the FranklinWH system is AC-coupled, it’s compatible with SolarEdge, Enphase, and other major inverter brands. That makes it an ideal choice whether you’re installing a new solar system or adding battery storage to an existing one.
The aGate controller is the brain of the FranklinWH system. It integrates and optimizes power from multiple sources — solar, grid, battery, and generator — so your home always uses the most efficient and cost-effective energy available.
Smart circuit-level control. The aGate lets you prioritize specific loads in your home. During an outage, you decide what stays powered and what doesn’t — all manageable from the FranklinWH app on your phone.
Multiple operating modes. Self-consumption, time-of-use arbitrage, emergency backup, and off-grid — switch between modes based on your needs or let the system optimize automatically.
Real-time monitoring. The FranklinWH app shows your energy production, consumption, battery charge level, and power flow in real time. Set schedules, adjust modes, and track your savings from anywhere.
One of the most compelling features of the FranklinWH system is native generator support. The aGate can seamlessly integrate with a standby generator, portable generator, or even compatible EVs (like the Ford F-150 Lightning) to recharge your batteries during extended outages.
This is a significant advantage over other battery systems that either don’t support generators or require expensive additional hardware to make the connection work. With FranklinWH, it’s built in.
